Each AI agent has a predefined role (e.g., CEO, Researcher, Analyst, Trader) with the flexibility to dynamically modify or introduce new roles as needed, continually enhancing operational efficiency. The OS includes both large agents (LLM-based) for sophisticated decision-making and smaller, custom-built, task-specific AI models (non-LLM) designed to accurately perform specialized tasks such as statistical market prediction, significantly reducing AI hallucinations common in generalized models. This innovation directly addresses fragmentation and complexity in DeFi portfolio management and onchain trading, creating a simpler, safer, and more efficient automated DeFi experience.
Agents cooperate through a reward-and-feedback loop that rewrites their own prompts, ensuring continuous self-improvement and minimal hallucination, making sure VU:

To start using Velvet Unicorn in action:
Visit dapp.velvet.capital
Connect your wallet
Look for the "Velvet Unicorn AI" button at the bottom of the screen
Click it to open the AI assistant
Ask your question or request a strategy (e.g., "Which Base tokens are you most bullish on and why?")
Then you can also ask VU to execute a trade for you automatically using the Velvet Trade Execution Engine (e.g., "Buy me $15 of $GAME with USDC") making it so VU can find alpha and act on your behalf
The Velvet Unicorn gives you live data, insights, and can execute trades or strategy actions — all through a friendly chat interface.
Roadmap: What's Next for Velvet Unicorn
Phase 1: Onchain Research
The first milestone, known as Onchain Research, is completed. Allowing Velvet Unicorn to search for alpha onchain, and use its statistical model to make price predictions. With the Onchain Research agent, users can find which tokens to buy, which pools are offering the best APYs, what is going on in the market, and then place the swaps themselves. New data sources are coming up to let VU give even more alpha to the users.
Phase 2: Intent-Based Execution
Velvet Unicorn can perform trades & DeFi actions based on AI-generated insights and user-defined parameters. This phase moves beyond just research, allowing VU to detect, propose, and execute trades
Phase 3: Autonomous Trading & Portfolio Management
Following autonomous trade execution, Unicorn will support launching and managing fully onchain strategies:
